Here we have a vintage Stratford, Texas black and gold felt pennant. This neat wall hanging features a bucking horse and rider. The site was settled around 1885, when Aaron Norton bought 100 sections of land from the railroads, and was named by Walter Colton, Norton's hired manager, after Stratford, Virginia, the boyhood home of Robert E. Lee. Colton, a native of Kentucky, had been an admirer of Lee. The pennant would look great in a cowboy themed wall in a child's room or on a bulletin board as well as in a collection of souvenirs or other pennants. It would also look great stitched on to a pillow, purse, or bag.

Size:

Measures about 25 inches long.

Condition:

All of our pennants are in vintage condition and thus may have some wear, cracking, or other imperfections that come with age.

We have many of other states and cities pennants available, find them here!
