This vintage 1918 Red Cross Motor Corps pennant is a rare survivor from the volunteer program that supported military and civilian efforts during World War I. Made to mount on vehicles, metal pennant-shaped signs like this were attached to cars operated by the American Red Cross Motor Corps, identifying their role in transporting the wounded, delivering supplies, and supporting war-related relief. This sign came from a long-time collector of Rhode Island items.

With bold red, white, and blue graphics and an attached pole for vehicle mounting, this piece captures a unique intersection of wartime service and early automotive culture. It would be a striking addition to a collection of WWI memorabilia, medical history, or early 20th-century American ephemera.

Condition:

It is in good vintage condition overall and does show a little wear, character, and patina throughout. Most notably, some scuffs and scratches.

Size:

The sign measures about 13 inches long and 10.5 inches tall.
