Here we have a vintage 1927 Connecticut commercial truck license plate. This plate features the number 10-908 and red on white colors. In 1927, Connecticut passenger vehicles (i.e., cars) would have used plates with white numbering and red backgrounds, unlike this truck plate with the reverse color scheme, which is how they used to decipher between the two vehicle types back in the day. It would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Connecticut, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a Connecticut lover. License plates also make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.
Condition:
This plate is in 100% original condition with no paint touch-ups or restoration. It is in good vintage condition, showing some little wear, character, and patina from actual use on a vehicle and storage over the years. Most notably, some wear and paint discoloration around the corners.
