1958 1959 New York License Plate Pair Vintage NOS YOM Car Decor

Here we have a vintage New York 1958 license plate pair, featuring a yellow background with black numbering and the Empire State slogan. New York did not issue new plates for 1959 and just issued tabs, like the one on this pair here, similar to stickers used on plates today. The set would be a great candidate for that classic car. The pair would be a neat gift for someone who lives in New York, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a New York lover. License plates also make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.

Condition:

These plates are in wonderful vintage condition, with no major wear. There are some spots with some of the rice-paper residue still on the numbers of the left plate. The paint is all original, there are no touch-ups or repainted areas. The paint has nice gloss.
