Here we have a vintage 1973 Yukon, Canada license plate. This plate is adorned with the "Home of the Klondike" slogan and the iconic gold Prospector or Miner. It also features the number 5417 and black on tan coloring. Yukon put the prospector on their plates in 1953 and still have him on their plates today. Back in the early days of this plate style (1953-1985) the Prospector also has a dab of gold paint in his pan to symbolize a successful search for gold during the gold rush.

License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors. This old auto tag would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Yukon, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a Yukon lover.

Condition:

This plate is in 100% original condition, with no paint touchups or restoration. It is in great vintage condition, and only shows a little wear and character from use on a vehicle and storage over the years. Most notably, some minor scuffs here and there.

Size:

Measures about 12 inches long and 6 inches wide.
