Illinois 1944 Fiberboard License Plate Vintage Brown Wall Hanging Decor 434-799

Here we have a vintage Illinois 1944 license plate made out of fiberboard and featuring the number 434-799. During the war, some states issued non-metal license plates to conserve metal resources. These fiberboard plates broke down very easily in the elements and were even sometimes munched by livestock. This plate would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Illinois, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to an Illinois lover. License plates also make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.

Condition:

This plate is in great vintage condition, given its age. It has three extra holes, one in the "3," one above the "9," and inside the "1994" year.
