Painted Brass Porthole Window Antique Nautical Porthole

This antique brass porthole that has a stunning nautical vibe, especially with the painted and chippy blue and white finish. It came off ship in service on Mobile Bay, Alabama. It would be an awesome piece to display in a vacation home, beach house, or cottage. They would look wonderful mounted on a wall or even used as an actual window in your house. People frequently use portholes like these to display photos or upcycle them into side-tables by adding legs.

Condition:

The porthole is in good vintage condition and can be opened wide. With some turning of the bolts on the side, it can be secured shut as well. Please note, however, that the bolts are a stuck and would require some lubrication to spin them, we left it as-found to let the buyer decide what they want to do. The glass has a bit of a blue-green tint and some light scratching, as would be expected from actual use.

Size:

Measures about 17.5 inches in total diameter, including the brass frame. The inner glass measures a little more than 12 inches in diameter. NOTE: This weighs over 50 pounds, if you are mounting it on the wall, make sure to have the proper surface and supplies to do so.
