Here we have a pair of vintage cast iron ice tongs. They have a lovely rustic and industrial vibe with rusty brown coloring. They are not marked with a maker's mark. The tongs would make a great rustic or primitive wall decor piece in a farmhouse or cottage.
Ice tongs were commonly used before refrigerators (and freezers) were invented. They would allow for easily picking up large ice blocks to place them in your ice chest or cellar.
Condition:
They are in good vintage condition and still open and close nicely.
Size:
Measure about 14 inches tall and 8 inches at their widest point when closed.
