Here we have a vintage 1912 Pennsylvania (PENNA) porcelain license plate. The plate features the number 19294 and a woodgrain coloring. This plate is made of porcelain enamel, which is a thin layer of glass finish over steel. It was made by Brilliant Mfg. Co. out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the well-known manufacturer of many states' porcelain license plates in the early years of cars.

License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors. It would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Pennsylvania, a souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a Pennsylvania lover. 

Condition:

This plate is in 100% original condition, with no paint touchups or restoration. It is in pretty good vintage condition, considering it is a piece of glass-covered metal that was used on an early vehicle in a time before paved roads. It does show some wear and character from use and storage over the years. Most notably, some scuffs here and there and minor chipping along the edges and around the badge.
