Here we have a vintage 1919 Illinois license plate. This plate features the low, four digit number 6689. This plate would have been originally painted ruddy brown with white numbering. Low number plates are highly collectible as these plates were typically reserved and registered to prominent members of society.
License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors. Condition:
This plate is in 100% original condition, with no paint touchups or restoration. It is in decent vintage condition, and does show some wear and character from use on a vehicle and storage over the years. Most notably, it has lost most of its paint and there are two extra holes at the center.
