Here we have a vintage 1948 Wisconsin truck license plate. This plate features the number 42430D, yellow on black coloring, and rounded corners. These plates were used from 1948 through 1950 with a tab over the year for 1949 and 1950, similar to how we use registration stickers today.
License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors. This old auto tag would be a neat gift for someone who lives in America's Dairyland, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a Wisconsin lover.
Condition:
This plate is in 100% original condition, with no paint touchups or restoration. It is in good vintage condition, and does show some wear and character from use on a vehicle and storage over the years. Most notably, some minor scuffs here and there.
