Here we have a vintage 1928 New York license plate pair, featuring a black background with yellow numbering. The set would be a great candidate for that Ford Model A. The pair would be a neat gift for someone who lives in New York, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a New York lover. License plates also make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.
Condition:
These plates are in great vintage condition, with only very slight wear. There is one minuscule crack to the steel above the bottom left mounting hole of one of the plates. The paint is all original, there are no touch-ups or repainted areas. One of the plates is a bit glossier than the other, presumably what was originally used as the back plate.

Measure about 15.75 inches long and 6 inches wide.
