Here we have a vintage 1911 Massachusetts porcelain license plate pair. This pair of plates is made of porcelain enamel, which is a thin layer of glass finish over steel. They were made by Ing-Rich Mfg. Co. out of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, the well-known manufacturer of many states' porcelain license plates in the early years of cars. The plates feature the number 13546 and a white on blue coloring. 

This plate would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Massachusetts, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a Mass. lover. License plates also make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.

Condition:

This pair of plates is in 100% original condition, with no paint touchups or restoration. They are in great vintage condition, considering they are pieces of glass-covered metal that were used on an early vehicle in a time before paved roads. They do show minor wear and character from use and storage over the years. Most notably, some minor chipping along the edges and then a chip at the upper right mounting hole of the bottom plate.
