1914 California Porcelain License Plate Pair Ford Model T Low Number 8142

Here we have a vintage 1914 California porcelain license plate pair. This is the first year the state of California issued license plates. These plates are made of porcelain enamel, which is a thin layer of glass finish over steel. The plate features the relatively low (4 digit) number of 8142 and white on red coloring.

These plates would be a fun plate to display on a Ford Model T at a car show or in a garage or add this plate to a license plate collection.

Measure about 16 inches long and 5.5 inches wide.

Condition:

The plates are in 100% original condition, with no touch ups or restoration. These plates are in decent vintage condition, showing some wear, character, and dings from actual use. Most notably, each plate has wear to the porcelain along the top mounting holes as wells as some scuffs and blemishes throughout.
