Here we have a vintage 1936 Tennessee license plate. This plate features the iconic state shape design, the number 344-672, and dark blue on white colors. 1936 was the first year that Tennessee issued license plates in the shape of the state and continued to do so through 1956, when in 1957 the Federal Government mandated standard rectangular plates for all states. Tennessee shaped plates are highly collectable and look great as wall decor.

License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.
