1948 Rhode Island License Plate Black White Wall Decor J1573 with 1949 Tab

Here we have a vintage 1948 Rhode Island license plate, featuring the number J1573, a registration tab for 1949, and a white background with black numbering. Registration tabs back in the day were used similarly to the year stickers that we use today.

License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors. It would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Rhode Island, a souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to a Rhode Island lover. 

Condition:

This plate is in 100% original condition, with no paint touchups or restoration. It is in good vintage condition, and shows some wear and character from use on a vehicle and storage over the years. Most notably, some scuffs here and there, most heavily toward the center. The 1949 tab is also loose, missing its prongs to hold it in place.
