Here we have a vintage 1955 Illinois truck license plate. This plate features the low, single digit number 2, and an blue background with orange numbering. Low number plates are highly collectible as these plates were typically reserved and registered to prominent members of society. The F indicates the weight class of truck that the plate was registered to.
License plates make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors. The plate is in 100% original condition, with no touch ups. The plate is in good vintage condition, with some wear, character, and patina from the years of use and storage. Most notably, some wear around the mounting holes. Please note the bottom left mounting hole has a crack.
