1955 Texas License Plate Vintage Yellow Black Wall Decor

Here we have a vintage 1955 Texas license plate. It features black on yellow coloring and the number NZ 9885. The U.S. federal mandate for license plate sizes (12 inches long and x 6 inches wide) came into play 1956, and this plate is from the last year that states could determine their own sizing. This is a "shorty" style plate, smaller than plates on the road today. See measurements below.
