Sir Walter Raleigh was an Elizabethan explorer and scholar who advocated the colonization of the United States of America and, for right or wrong, Raleigh will always be known for the introduction of the potato and tobacco into England. This tin was made by the J. G. Flynt Tobacco Company since 1884 and was taken over by the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in 1925. R. J. Reynolds was the company that began the Camel tobacco brand. This is a great piece for anybody's display or collection.
This tin is in great vintage condition, with little wear on the outside and only slight wear on the inside.
Measures about 5 inches in diameter and about 5 inches tall.
