Up for sale is an Arcade Crystal Coffee Mill in black made by the Arcade Mfg. Co. in the 1910's. This piece features a beautiful fleur-de-lis pattern on the metal handle and a black finish. The upper hopper jar is not embossed with any writing, but the top lid does have "Arcade" on it, leading us to believe that it is the No. 1 model. This coffee grinder would look wonderful on a wall in any kitchen or even filled with coffee as decor in a cafe. The Arcade Mfg. Co. produced number of different coffee mills from the 1900's to the 1930's. The No. 3 was the most popular back in the day and has become a favorite of collectors today. They were made in five different colors, including black and oxidized copper, or green.
Condition:
It is in good condition, but has a part missing on the back, making it only fit for decor purposes. Unfortunately, the catch cups that go below the mill are a rare find, as they frequently were broken, so it does not come with the bottom catch cup or it's components.
Size:
Measures about 12 inches high and 9 inches wide (with the crank). The jar itself measures about 5 inches wide.
