This antique brass porthole that has a stunning nautical vibe. It came off a sunken ship in the Mississippi River in Louisiana, the person we got it from took it off the ship himself. It would be an awesome piece to display in a vacation home, beach house, or cottage. Portholes like this look wonderful mounted on a wall or even used as an actual window in your house. People frequently use them to display photos or upcycle them into side-tables by adding legs.
Condition:
The porthole is in good vintage condition, with normal signs of wear and patina from actual use on a ship. It doesn't "open" as it is only the window portion, the part that would attach to the base with the hinges on the ship.
Size:
Measures about 17 inches in diameter total. The window only measures about 13 inches in diameter.
NOTE:
This is heavy, if you are mounting it on the wall, make sure to have the proper surface and supplies to do so.
