Here we have a neat vintage Pyrene Guardene soda acid fire extinguisher that really packs the heat. It is from the earlier part of the 1900's and was also inspected by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (some of their history is below). It would make an awesome statement piece in modern industrial decor scheme, steampunk decor, or even as a photography or stage prop. William Henry Merrill started Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (ULI) after visiting the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. After seeing many Edison lights displayed at the fair cause numerous fires to ignite, the city turned to Merrill for help.
Condition:
It is in great vintage condition, and was owned by a retired firefighter and so has been emptied properly.
