This stunning crystal cruet set is made by Rogers Smith and Co. in Meriden Connecticut. It would make a wonderful piece for display in a curio cabinet or for use during special occasions such as holidays. It has a silver plate carrier, a bit tarnished, but in great shape for its age. The Rogers Smith and Co. was founded in 1857 and merged with another company in 1862, so this piece dates from between those years.
The crystal salt and pepper holders are also in wonderful condition. One of the vinegar and oil holders however has a small chip on the top and the other has a broken stopper base, although most of it is still intact.
The bottles range in height and measure 6.5 inches, 5.5 inches, 6 inches, and 4 inches tall. The holder is 9.75 inches tall overall.
