These antique gray mercury glass reflector lamp shade is a stunning piece of modern industrial decor. Xray is a common brand for this type of lamp shade but this specific shade is unmarked. Shades like this were frequently used for medical practices such as dentists or doctors. The shade has a great industrial aesthetic and would look sweet on a pendant light in a modern industrial room. The glass itself has a mirror-like reflecting surface on the inside and a gray or silver colored paint on the outside. This is just the shade, so would need to be attached to a bulb.
Condition:
It is in decent vintage condition, especially for their age. It does have a few chips to the gray paint near the top of the rim. There is also some brown discoloration at the top to the gray paint. There, no chips or cracks to the glass.
Size:
Measures about 4.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches in diameter at the wide end. The shade fitter part on the neck measures about 1.5 inches in diameter.
