This vintage J Chein Hercules dates back to the 1930s and is a neat mechanical windup toy. It has wonderfully bright colors and would be a cool toy to have on display or in a beginning collection as well as an interesting piece of decor. It would also be a great candidate for a restoration project.
Condition:
It is in decent condition, showing some character and patina overall. Originally, you would turn the key and the wheel would begin to spin and ring the little bell on the front as it goes around. It is currently not in working order because it is missing the rivet on the opposite side of the turning mechanism (the nose on the face).
Size:
Measures about 16.5 inches tall and 10.5 inches long at the base.
