Illinois 1943 Fiberboard License Plate Vintage Green Wall Hanging Decor 1484-243

Here we have a vintage green Illinois 1943 license plate made out of fiberboard and featuring the number 1484-243. During the war, some states issued non-metal license plates to conserve metal resources. These fiberboard plates broke down very easily in the elements and were even sometimes munched by livestock. This plate would be a neat gift for someone who lives in Illinois, souvenir to remember a trip to the state, or even as decor to an Illinois lover. License plates also make great house warming gifts or gifts for someone who was born the year the plates were issued, and they look stellar on a wall in a collection with many different states and colors.

This plate is in good vintage condition, with minor wear and three tiny extra holes.
