Paper Mache Pumpkin Jack O'Lantern Halloween Decor Smiling Face

This vintage smiling face jack o'lantern is from the 1940s and made of paper mache and would be stellar Halloween decor. Because paper mache pumpkins like this are so fragile, they are a bit hard to find in good condition today. This one features a grinning face and has a spot inside to place a candle or light that shines through the paper eyes and mouth.  It would look great on a shelf or even in a window with a battery light inside.

Condition:

That paper covering of the eyes and mouth we believe not to be original, but rather a vintage reproduction. The whole piece is in great vintage condition, considering its age and the fragile material it's made out of. There are a few small scuffs and it is missing the wire bale that would have gone on top. The holes on top are still fully intact if you wanted to replace it with a new wire. There is candle wax residue on the bottom from actual use, but we did not want to try to remove it so that we would not damage it.
